What is this?

This tool checks whether the buttons, links, and form controls on your website or app are large enough to tap with a finger. Targets that are too small are a barrier for people with motor disabilities.

When do I need this?

Use this when you have a mobile website or app, or any website that can be viewed on a touchscreen. If your product is only used on desktop with a mouse and keyboard, this check is lower priority.

Applies to:Mobile apps, touch-enabled websites, responsive web. Less applicable to keyboard-only desktop interfaces.
  1. 1
Enter your element sizeType the width and height (in pixels) of the button, link, or control you're checking. If you're not sure, right-click it in your browser, choose Inspect, and look for the width/height values in the Styles panel.
  2. 2
Read the verdictThe tool immediately tells you whether the element passes the minimum legal requirement (24px — WCAG 2.2 AA) or the recommended comfortable size (44px for iOS, 48px for Android).
  3. 3
Use the spacing exception if neededIf your buttons are small but spread apart, WCAG allows an exception. Enter the gap between adjacent targets; the tool will tell you whether the exception applies.
  4. 4
Get the CSS fixSwitch to the CSS Fix tab to get the exact code that will fix the issue. Copy and send it to your developer — no expertise needed.
  5. 5
Export your evidenceScroll to the Export section and download a record of your test. This becomes part of your EAA Technical File.

WCAG 2.2 CS 2.5.8 — Tamanho do Alvo (Mínimo)

44 × 44 px — Apple HIG e WCAG 2.5.5 AAA

A utilizar o tamanho definido acima.

px
